Located in a stunning forest, this authentic French chateau offers a unique experience. the large rooms with beautiful beamed ceilings and antique furniture provide a romantic ambiance. the modern, spotlessly clean bathrooms add to the comfort. the friendly host, Aude, goes above and beyond to ensure a warm welcome and a pleasant stay. Enjoy a peaceful night's sleep by the river, and wake up to a simple continental breakfast with fresh produce.
One downside is that the track to the house is a bit rough on the car's suspension, so driving very slowly is necessary.

Breakfast was delicious with fresh produce, and the optional dinner was tasty and good value. The hotel is located in a quiet, secluded area surrounded by woods, providing a peaceful and restful night's sleep. The rooms were spacious and decorated with beautiful antique furniture, adding to the authentic French charm.
Tea and coffee facilities in the bedroom would have been a welcome addition. the hotel was a bit difficult to find as it is located down an unmade road.

Built in 1870, owned by the 6th generation of the family. Set in the middle of a forest down 2 miles of dirt track. Lawns regularly dug up by wild boar. River Sauldre at the bottom of the garden. Large characterful rooms. Excellent value for money. Lovely food. Very accommodating host. Beautiful location. a unique and charming experience.
